What is a Coached Practice?
Take your dancing to the next level with our coached practices, designed to help you improve your skills in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
Each session begins with 30 minutes of dynamic warm up and light exercise led by a qualified exercise professional. The goal is to help you warm up and ensure your body is prepared for movement but to also help you improve your strength and endurance, balance and coordination, body awareness, recovery, and confidence.
During the coached practice, music will be playing and you will have the opportunity to work on your dancing with a partner or in groups. The practice is self-directed and a coach will be circulating to answer questions and give helpful tips.
During the coached practice you will have the opportunity to:
- Receive personalized feedback
- Ask questions and get tailored advice to improve your dancing
- Practice in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere
Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming competition, having difficulty with a new technique, or practicing to be a better partner on the social floor, coached practice is for you!

What is a Competition Prep Workshop?
These workshops are intended to help you prepare for an upcoming competition, whether you’re competing for the first time or if you’re a seasoned competitor. You will gain confidence, refine your skills, and learn what it takes to shine on the competition floor
We will go through a mock jack and jill competition (not judged) to familiarize you with the competition format. Then we will use the remaining time as a coached practice.
